Price-Fixing Settlement Sends 259K Eggs to Long Island Food Banks

Long Island Cares received 21,600 dozen-egg cartons (259,200 eggs) as part of a multistate settlement over alleged price coordination by Cal-Maine Foods, Versova/Centrum and Hickman's Egg Ranch. The companies agreed to donate 53 million eggs nationwide and pay $3.3 million combined; New York's share totals nearly 5 million eggs distributed via Feeding New York.
