NestFresh hits 1.2M chicks spared via egg sexing tech
NestFresh says its in-ovo sexing technology has prevented culling of 1.2 million male chicks to date, part of its Humanely Hatched program. The company projects the total will reach 1.5 million by year-end.
Why it matters: In-ovo sexing adoption signals a viable path for producers to avoid male chick culling amid rising animal-welfare scrutiny.
