EggWire is a news monitoring service for the egg and poultry industry. It scans USDA, FDA, CDC, state agencies, trade press, company newsrooms and regulatory filings every 15 minutes and turns what it finds into plain-English summaries and alerts, scored 1–5 for urgency. Every story links back to its original source.

Signing in and creating an account

EggWire is behind a partial sign-in wall. Without an account you can read every headline with a short summary on the home page, this page, and the public reference pages — egg and feed prices, the bird-flu tracker and cage-free law status by state. The full story is part of EggWire Pro.

That's deliberate — in an industry this small, we think what you read should stay between you and us. See the legal page for the full explanation.

New accounts start with Pro's 7-day free trial, which needs a card; EggWire no longer opens free accounts. Accounts that already have the free tier keep it.

Team plans for a company: 5 seats $799/year, 10 seats $1,499/year or 25 seats $2,999/year. Seats 6 to 10 add $140 a year each, and seats 11 to 25 add $100 a year each. More than 25 seats? Company-wide is $4,999/yr for everyone at one company email domain, billed by invoice. Email [email protected] to set it up. Need 2 to 4 seats? Pro is $199 a seat per year. Email [email protected] and we'll invoice your company. Team and Company-wide renew every year. Card checkout renews on the card. Invoice-billed plans: we email your renewal invoice on your renewal date, due in 30 days, by card or ACH bank transfer. To change seats or cancel, email [email protected] before your renewal date.

Forgot your password?

On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password and enter your email. If that address has an EggWire account, we'll send a link that lets you set a new password and signs you straight in. If the email never arrives, check spam first, then write to [email protected] and we'll sort it out by hand.

Subscribing to Pro

EggWire Pro is a paid subscription with a free trial, purchased on eggwire.co in a web browser — not inside the iOS or Android app. If you're using the app, open a browser, sign in at eggwire.co, and subscribe from there; your Pro access then applies everywhere you're signed in, app included. Current pricing, the trial length, and the full auto-renewal disclosure are on the legal page.

Managing or cancelling your subscription

Open Manage billing or cancel in your account on the web (the ⚙ Alerts and preferences button, then Billing) and cancel — you do it yourself, it works at any hour, and it needs no email or phone call. If you'd rather we did it, write to [email protected].

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep Pro access through the end of the period you've already paid for — access doesn't stop the moment you cancel. After that Pro stops, and your sign-in stays unless you ask us to delete it.

Team subscriptions can only be cancelled or changed by the team admin — the person who bought the seats. Everyone else on the team sees a note pointing them to their admin; write to [email protected] if your admin is unreachable.

Using EggWire in Claude or ChatGPT

EggWire for AI assistants is part of the Team plan, including Teams on a trial. Each person on the team connects their own seat: the setup steps, what an assistant can look up and the limits are on the AI assistants help page. To disconnect an app, open your EggWire preferences. Something not working? Email [email protected] and say which assistant you're using.

Where the data and the alerts come from

Stories are summarized automatically from published sources, and every one links to and credits the original outlet. EggWire does not independently verify third-party reporting, and severity (the 1–5 score that decides what gets an alert) is an editorial judgment, not an official government designation.
