EggWire is a news monitoring service for the egg and poultry industry. It scans USDA, FDA, CDC, state agencies, trade press, company newsrooms and regulatory filings every 15 minutes and turns what it finds into plain-English summaries and alerts, scored 1–5 for urgency. Every story links back to its original source.

Signing in and creating an account

EggWire is behind a partial sign-in wall. Without an account you can read headlines on the home page, this page, and the public reference pages — egg and feed prices, the bird-flu tracker and cage-free law status by state — plus 2 full stories a day. Opening more than that requires a free account. Any live severity-5 story in the Food Safety & Recalls category is readable in full at its own link, with no account — that tier is never paywalled. Urgent news in other categories, including bird-flu detections, is not covered by that carve-out.

Signing up is free and asks for nothing but an email address and a password — no card required. The free tier is not a trial: it does not expire.

Forgot your password?

On the sign-in screen, choose Forgot password and enter your email. If that address has an EggWire account, we'll send a link that lets you set a new password and signs you straight in. If the email never arrives, check spam first, then write to [email protected] and we'll sort it out by hand.

Subscribing to Pro

EggWire Pro is a paid subscription with a free trial, purchased on eggwire.co in a web browser — not inside the iOS or Android app. If you're using the app, open a browser, sign in at eggwire.co, and subscribe from there; your Pro access then applies everywhere you're signed in, app included. Managing or cancelling your subscription

Open Manage billing in your account (on the web) and cancel — it takes one click, works at any hour, and needs no email or phone call. If you'd rather we did it, write to [email protected].

Cancelling stops future charges. You keep Pro access through the end of the period you've already paid for — access doesn't stop the moment you cancel. Your account stays open on the free tier afterward unless you ask us to delete it.

Team subscriptions can only be cancelled or changed by the team admin — the person who bought the seats. Everyone else on the team sees a note pointing them to their admin; write to [email protected] if your admin is unreachable.

Where the data and the alerts come from

Stories are summarized automatically from published sources, and every one links to and credits the original outlet. EggWire does not independently verify third-party reporting, and severity (the 1–5 score that decides what gets an alert) is an editorial judgment, not an official government designation.
