Shell Egg Prices Rise for Large, Extra Large Sizes
USDA's Sept 28 national FOB index shows caged large eggs up to 41.40 cents/dozen from 39.14, and extra large up slightly to 40.57 from 40.22. Caged medium fell sharply to 23.72 from 28.34, while cage-free extra large held steady at 44.33. Demand is moderate at retail and export channels, with slow-to-moderate market activity.
