Cage-free extra-large eggs led the week's moves, dropping 10.2% to a $0.44-a-dozen average. Cage-free medium eggs climbed 9.7% to $0.43, while cage-free large eggs rose 6.5% to $0.31. On the input side, soybean meal advanced 5.2% to $404.03 a ton and on-highway diesel jumped 5.3% to $6.29 a gallon. Among conventional (caged) eggs, medium moved up 4.2% to $0.27 a dozen while extra-large slipped 1.4% to $0.41 and large edged down 0.7% to $0.35, and corn eased 0.6% to $4.96 a bushel as organic corn held flat at $11.75.
