Suriname confirms H5 bird flu outbreak at poultry farm
Suriname's agriculture ministry detected H5 avian flu at a Wanica District poultry farm holding roughly 6,000 chickens, over half of which died in two weeks. Authorities are tracing spread to a duck farm in Commewijne after birds were transported there; human samples tested negative for H5.
