Caged Egg Prices Slip as Cage-Free Large Rises Nationally

USDA's Sept. 18 national index put caged Large at 35.12 cents/dozen and caged Medium down to 23.50 cents, while cage-free Large climbed to 37.88 cents. California's Prop 12 cage-free benchmark for the week of Sept. 14 eased to 108 cents for Large and 115 cents for Extra Large, with Medium steady at 96 cents.
